The high birth rate is very high among the lower class people. In middle class families and higher it is absolutely unheard of to have more than 2 children. The problem is with the servant class. They just keep having children. Another problem is in the villages where the children are counted to work the crops. The more children there are, the more help there is in the fields!
It's very sad really, that due to overpopulation Indian cities have changed so much, and not for the better!

1. Literacy Rate is very low
2. Not much awareness about use of condom.
3. Embarassed to buy condoms because of social culture.
4. Men out to prove their manhood
