ah yur ve dic with emphasis on the first syllable..
I too was saying the first syllable wrong like Celeste so we all three learned something.

aah-yur-vedhik. if speaking in an Indian language you wouldnt put a stress on any syllable.

*I* had been saying I-yer-veed-ick, but your question got me wondering so I checked out dictionary.com and it says it is pronounced ah-yer-ved-ick--or vee-dick...so both are right but my saying 'I" instead of "ah" was wrong.
