Yes- they are not good friends. This is something he cannot control and their Mommies did not teach them right. Pull them aside and tell them that you know he laughs, but it bugs him when they do it and you think they should stop. If they don't- you should ditch them and hang with him. They don't sound like people you could lean on in a pinch. Thanks for being cool to him, everyone should have a friend like you.

LOL I think you meant your friend is in a wheelchair...anyways i myself am in a chair and have been all my life and i reckon laughing it off is probably his way of dealing with the teasing and really if they were "true" friends they wouldn't do it to your friend anyway so I think you either talk to him and your other friends or find some new friends.

If you are friends with "a wheelchair", you should be the one people pick on. What do you do for fun with this wheelchair? Is it an outgoing wheelchair? Does it like going for a few drinks?

you need to know the difference between friends and aqauintances

an aqauintance you shut up and take what they hand out because you want to be their friend -

a true friend you stick up for - and put in their place if they are wrong

its too easy to make fun of somebody else - but really takes character to have a friend to go to bat for - is the person in the wheelie your friend or aqaintance?

stay strong - go get em!

Ask your friend if the comments and jokes etc hurt him. At least you are acknowledging that to him. If he states he is ok with it let it be. If not then you be the ambassador and get them to change their ways, they might not realize they are being hurtful seeing he joins in with the jibes as well
