In what sense do you mean? Math is an abstract concept in itself but used in real-life applications. But at the same time, all numbers are imaginary.

Have you ever seen the number 2? I haven't; I've seen the symbol 2, but not the number 2.

When it comes to defining the logic of this world, math is as real as it gets. It didn't get invented; it got discovered.

yes 1 rock plus 2 rocks = 3 rocks

the problem is the word REAL since we are a collection of atoms and not as we appear to be you can argue that nothing is real - but i can prove my reality and the reality of math - unlike something like ghost or the human soul ( or God ) so real does have rules and math meets them even without a physical presence

Here's some food for thought: Mathematically, you can never touch anything.

First you are a foot away, then 6 inches, then 3 inches, then 1.5 inches, then .75 inces, so on and so on.
