Yeah - there are so many advantages to this...literally thousands of studies have shown the importance of attractiveness regardless of how non-PC the results of these studies are. It's important.... whether we like it or not.

I have a new baby, and I was concerned with how physically attractive he would be. I know that in our society that being a beautiful person is important. I knew I would love him no matter how he looked but hoped he'd be attractive for his sake.

I also think that women are expected to be more physically perfect than men so if I were having a girl I would have worried about it more.

I thinks its a sad reality that most parents do want their offspring to become attractive.
Its a tough world out there and even kids are hard on each other. people are judgemental and shallow creatures and a child who doesnt have the ideal physical traits will often and unfortunately usually have to face very difficult times with their peers.
I couldnt care if my child was not attractive, in fact.. I wouldnt even notice if he wasnt because to me he or she would be the most beautiful thing in this world. But i would absolutely hate it if my child or any child had to endure teasing because of looks. Thats why I can't blame any parent for hoping for attractive offspring.

Hell yeah!

Of course I would want them healthy first, but definitely attractive.

Though I know some people really don't care about this, I've seen the babies to prove it, I can't lie. Of course I do.

To me it's all about survival of the fittest and being attractive gains you some things, not all, in society. Of course I'll teach my kids to be moral and bring good things to the world, but who said that being born ugly or less attractive would make them good people?

I'm shooting for really good and really good looking babies! Both the girls and the boys.

I don't care what my child looks like, it's my child and I will love them for who they are not what they look like. A baby is beautiful to any parent, even if other people may think it looks un attractive. Of course I obviously would like my child to look attractive, I guess anyone does.

Of course! Life is much easier when it doesn't look like you fell off the ugly tree and hit a bag of nickels on your way down! The bias is toward girls a bit more. Just being honest, like you asked.
