Something got stuck in our garbage disposal...well..we were instructed not to use it untill it was "fixed" by the company who came out to fix it. Well my husband forgot and shoved food down there. Well because we were told not to we didnt turn it on to get rid of the food down there. Since it sat there for 4 freaking days because the people couldent come to fix it until then we got nats. The garbage disposal got fixed to day and the food is gone but the nats have decided to stay. What can we do to get rid of them. I think they have decided not to leave

With disposer running, pour about a cup of bleach about 4 times a day. If that doesn't work, pulverize one of those blue toilet bowl pucks that you normally put in the tank and dispose it with a little water.

I had to read your whole question before I realized you were talking about "gnats" - the insects.

They have a life span of only a couple of days and are mostly attracted to sugar.

Make sure you dump and rinse wine glasses and put dirty dishes in the dishwasher and lock it. Clean your countertops, etc.

They'll be gone before you know it.
