In my country, we make rules and just pretend we follow it. Then when the disaster hits we blame the fact that the resources is not there and equipment failure is due to an act of god. THen we leave the repairs to be handled leaving lots of room for corruption to occur. God, I love living in AMerica.
EG. When an Earthquake occured in Los Angeles, the back up power in our hospital never kicked in. We always knew it didn't work. Think of all the people in life support.

we can protect ourselves feom the natural disasters.here it's not the government , the scientists and the geologists should play a major role.it's natural to blame the resources in the country when this type of disasters occur.the government can only intimate the people before these dangerous events and take necessary actions.so, for govenment to take action , the scientists should put their effort in .
