No, the landlord cannot turn off the power if the payment is late.
This would be a constructive eviction and your landlord would be liable for damages.
It's really no different than having a landlord change locks without going through the eviction process.

No, your Tenancy Agreement with the Landlord is for the right to live there. Your agreements with utility companies (power, water, etc,) are entirely separate.

You do not make it clear which payments you mean, however. Do you mean if the rent is late ? If so, the Landlord still has no right to interrupt your power supply, although he can get a court order to evict you. If he threatens or attempts to cut your power supply, get onto the Citizens Advice as soon as you can

If the power was on in your landlord name .He best keep that bill paid up to date for you .And give you a letter saying that you will be paying your owne power in a letter that you will sign

The Land lord can not do that but the Power Supply will surely do it If the land lord or the Tenant Dont Pay The BILLS!!

i'm not sure he can cut the power. as far as i understand the electric board cant even do that so i wouldnt imagine your land lord being allowed to do it either
