11TH Armored was deactivated after VE Day;stateside cadre was reassigned for invasion of Japan; how do I find reassignment? Island-hopped until housing could be found, awaiting demobilization; cleared supply ships to become Victory ships in Manilla; discharged from Fort Lewis;discharge papers list "HQ CO AF WES PAC"
