The action takes place mainly on the train, after a few people discover some sort of creature in some frozen cave, so they take it on board with them, wherever they're going. On the train, the ice melts and the hairy cave-man "moster" is wild, going off to kill people and sucking all the "knowledge" from their brains by holding them hard, staring at them with his red eyes and making their eyes focus on his; then, their's start to bleed and they die. I cannot remember any actors' names. Could be anywhere from 1960 to 1995: in colour. The title credits is a black background with the train's red light from a distance.

The movie you are thinking of is, "Horror Express," which was released in 1973 and starred; Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing. An English anthropologist (Christopher Lee) has discovered a frozen monster in the frozen wastes of Manchuria which he believes may be the Missing Link. He brings the creature back to Europe aboard a trans-Siberian express, but during the trip the monster thaws out and begins attacking and murdering the passengers, draining them of their brain contents through their eyes. Hope this helps. You can buy the DVD here:

Yes, it was HORROR EXPRESS and I saw it in a theater when I was a kid. That was many years ago and I saw it as an adult about a year ago. This is one that suffers from that not-as-good-as-I-remember-it syndrome in a big way. It was actually hard to sit through.

I think Telly Savals is in it too.
