I think it's arrogant to think that we cannot do our part in saving it.

We here in Australia are in the middle of a ten year drought so most of us are doing our part to save water.

I(and all the others in the house) have two or three buckets in the shower to catch as much water as we can. We use this water to water the garden and some of it we use to flush the toilet at least two buckets a day or more.
We flush a lot of water down the toilet so using recycled shower water is a good way to cut down on that waste.

We mulch in the garden this helps to save water.
We have taken out all the exotic trees and plants and replanted with natives.

As gifts for Christmas we potted cuttings from a native tree or shrub and gave the six month old cuttings to friends and neighbours. This way more native plants were planted when enough have been planted it will make a natural corridor for our wild animals and birds.

We have an over grown native garden with a small pond this is now attracting frogs (fantastic because this means a good habitat)

We keep all the water from the vegetables and put this on the compost heap or the garden.

We recycle all our plastic bottles and have just started recycling our cans.

We use all most all biodegradable cleaning products around the house.

We take our own bags to the super market to save on plastic bags that take way to long to break down (even thou they fall apart quickly when you have your hand full).

We also encourage others to do the same most of our neighbours are now collecting their shower water for their gardens. And a few who's gardens are small use some of the water to toilet fush.

I recycle aluminum cans. I adopted a dog from the animal shelter, and he's great. I drive a small car with low emissions. Other than that....nothing.

Talking about "saving the earth" and actually committing to doing it are very different things.

I recycle alot. Newspapers, cardboard, tetra boxes, phone books, pop cans, alcoholic beverages containers, paper, flyers, tin, milk jugs, I walk to most places, I live close to amenities and I take public transportation. Cheaper than a car, I don't have to make payments, insurance, gas and parking. Besides my kid loves the bus anyways and loves to help me recycle and reuse things. I save things for art projects like toilet paper rolls. I conserve electricity, turning off the lights when not in the room, turn down heat at night and when I am away. I wash my clothes in cold wash cycles, look for energy efficient appliances. I wash my dishes by hand and don't waste water.

i'm doing as a lot as I likely can notwithstanding it would not help even as my moms and dads do not position self belief in global warming. They offered like 7 circumstances of water bottles (!) even notwithstanding we've the superb tap water in the international, all those bottles are only gonna finally end up in landfills and my dad is always dropping water, I truly ought to teach off the tap each and every time because he only leaves the water operating. On my section notwithstanding, i do not clutter and that i turn off the lights even as i'm no longer in the room and that i do not go away appliances plugged in, and that i recycle each thing i will. i'm truly paranoid with this entire global warming corporation.

I try and buy organic food, use reuseable bags, recycle what I can, be energy efficient, be respectful of nature and the environment, talk and discuss issues in order to be more aware... but all these things aren't enough sadly. I'd love to be in a position to make more of a sacrifice for Earth.

My ambition is to do something more meaningful and lasting.

Don't you think that is very arrogant, to think that we have the power to destroy or save the world.
