Maybe you should start taking a spare pair of knickers to school in your school bag in case of an emergency!
I remember when I first started getting my period, it can appear very suddenly and without warning, and it's always good to have something as a back up. Also pantyliner's are a great idea.
Good luck, and welcome to womanhood!

first off, some women always know when it's gonna come, some don't. If you have to, tell him that you REALLY have to go. If not, try not to worry about it and at the first break, run to the washroom. What you may want to do is start wearing pantyliners, and jeans that are pretty thick, that way if it does come during class (it may not, remember, it may come at home or during a break or whatnot) you won't freak out, because you'll know that there's a much less chance of it leaking, yanno? Good luck! ^_^

I had to answer a question quite smiliar to this.
If u need to go to the washroom tell ur teacher that it's a girl thing I need to take care of. He shuld understand what u mean. Don't be embarrased I have had my period at school but I was wearing a pad, but it was a real heavy period and it went through my pants thankfully I had my sweatshirt to cover it up.

SUPERMAN made a really rude comment. I am also worried about it too but I have a friend who has hers so I would ask her for a pad or something. You could always ask to go to the nurse. It's gonna feel wicked embarrassing but dont cuz if you think the nurse has ever heard that before you are wrong. She has probably heard like over a thousand times.

You probably won't know when your first period is coming, until it actually starts. If you're really worried about staining through your clothes, you can ask your mom to buy you some pantiliners. They're not like pads, they're much thinner and you won't know it's there. You can wear one every day and then you'll be more confident that you won't soak through your clothes.
You should carry a pad in your purse or backpack so you'll be prepared.
As for asking your teacher if you can go to the restroom if your period starts, pick up your purse before you ask and he'll know why you need to go. If he says you can't go, walk up to his desk and tell him quietly that it's a female issue and you really have to go. If he still says no (and I can't imagine him saying no at that point) tell him you need to go see the school nurse...and then explain to her that your period started and he wouldn't let you leave class to tend to it.

Well honey congrats, you now get to have the rest of your life hormonal and bloated and just irritated and mad that men don't get their period WELCOME to woman hood . :) well just tell the teacher you need to go and if he wont you can always tell him your pms ing fyi (that scares ANY man ) you will normally get what you want if you think you have started tell him you need to see the nurse and go to the ladies room . plus it is a good idea to keep a pad with you in case this does happen at school . be advised it is not alot at first just enough to give you time to address your new situation
I would also bring a change of clothes just in case Good Luck hun

i suggest that you have your mother inform the principal that this teacher is causing this stress for you. kids are human and it really does not matter if you have to go to the washroom for a period matter or to pee if you have to go you have to go that's that.
i would not put up with this . if he the teacher says you may not go to the washroom screw him just leave go there and do what you have to do then return if he gives you further hassle in front of the class just say to him firmly that this matter is one that you will not discuss with him now but will discuss in the principals office only.

Chances are you won't even realize it happened, unless it's really heavy. If that happens, just go honey. Ask him, and if he says no, tell him you HAVE to go and just go.
You probably won't know that your first one is about to come. But discharge is normal, and means you might get your period around the next 6 months.

it sounds like your about to get it. your male teacher can't prevent you from going to the bathroom, you could get a bladder infection. if you ask and he says no, tell him thats not what the school board would say. he is your teacher but don't let him give you ****
