It's their way of exerting control. Thomas Jefferson wrote of separation of church and state but it does not appear in the Constitution

I'm a liberal. I'm also Catholic.
I'm not opposed to displaying crosses. I see a lot of them everywhere.
I'm also not about PC. How about this joke. What did Michael Jackson say when he saw Brokeback Mountain? Hey, these aren't cowBOYS. These are cowMEN.
What are you talking about?
Sorry. I had to give you thumbs down. Seems like you're pressing a straw-man argument.
Note to Joey.... You should read a little deeper. Their disdain was for Religious Power more than Christianity.
Jefferson wrote that Jesus set down the most perfect set of ethics ever given to man but that the church corrupted it. Don't forget that America was founded only about 150 years after the Reformation and Counter-Reformation.
I'm not a bible thumper but I think you should look into the founding fathers view of religion more deeply. Their views were much more complex than just "yes or no". That's why Keith Ellison (the first Muslim to be elected to Congress) was able to take his Oath of Office on a Koran once owned by Thomas Jefferson.

It's about being fair. We need to be sensitive of others feelings. Sorry to bother you with such a shocking revelation - but their are religions that are offended by that. And luckily, we don't live in a world where people like you are so ignorant that they called any sensitive person a liberal.
Nice question, good waste of my 2 minutes and great source to find some high school drop outs!

Because, it's all about being "fair" and "sensitive" to everyone. We don't want to OFFEND anyone...when will people realize that with all the different religions, races, political beliefs etc. it is impossible NOT to offend SOMEONE. This has gotten completely out of control.

I'm a liberal and I despise PC. Christians can put crosses on display in their house, their cars, on a necklace, a tattoo, and their church, or their christian schools. You want more?

Only a Neocon would (fail to)think like that. Real liberals are far from politically correct. Just like real Neocons are far from intelligent.
