This would be either about high school students, or a medieval fantasy. Not so much the romance, but... Yeah... Help.
P.S. Don't post an answer telling me not to work off of other people, or I'll go psycho, I swear it.

A group of cheerleaders are trapped on a deserted island in a freak cheerleading/light aircraft accident. In desperation they are forced to eat each other, and through this experience they learn the true meaning of the word friendship.

For example:

..." It's ironic isn't it, Bree doesn't taste like cheese at all", commented Kaitlyn.
" That's not irony, that's alliteration" corrected Sophie
" Is alliteration the Shakespeare one?" asked Phoebe, " and which part of Bree would be low fat, do you think?"...

Can't give you any specific ideas - it has to come from you...

But the sky is the limit.

My advice is to pull from some personal experience or interaction....

Something that happened to you that had some type of extreme emotion, feeling, or thought correlated with it...

Happiness...

Sadness...

Anger...

Frustration...

Motivation...

Whichever is the case....

And pull from it...and depending on what type of story you want to write, you can maybe slightly or really exaggerate it, to make it even more interesting....and turn it into fiction....

And/or you can draw from some of the personalities you've ever known in your life...

...whether people closest to you...or even some stranger you only met once five years ago...who stood out...

...or your third grade teacher...

and not depict them to a T ('cause ya' might get in trouble for it later, depending on what light they're shown in)....but draw from their certain traits - physical and personality-wise...to help build fictional characters....

but anywho - not sure if any of that helps, but....hope it does...

as a fellow writer, i know how hard it can be, so good luck!

you can write a story based on common sayings. like try to build a story around say "curiosity kills the cat" as a theme. a story where you know a group of people trying to figure out something in midair based on what this old man had to say them about .but not finding anything but instead ending up wasting their time being frustrated and all while this old man is actually having fun looking at them take to things he said just like that. him palying a gag on them for his entertainment and feeling amused about how people easliy get fooled due to their common curiosity many times and so on.

this was one of the skits played during my highschool time and thought i would share it with you. its just an idea here but it was made very funny and interesting .you can build around this story more or comeup with some other interesting stuff based on such mundane things which happen in our day to day life.

hope you find some good idea to work upon wish you luck

remember the books/plots/stories you like the most, adapt them! change the characters, change the places, changes the scenes, follow through the stream of the story, adapt the typical conflicts, you can change the ending or not at all, voila!
