I think heads in any field should come down and address the problem and solution from people at the lower levels. They should not keep on doing everything on their own. For ex: A sales person near my house can do better than his chief minister or anyone, if he/she is given a chance or was being brought up in a good environment.

What I am trying to say here is: "We can get ideas from anyone. It is for the heads to implement the final decision".

Hence I highly appreciate this step taken by our President.

The Honourable President certainly has a right to ask this or any question, I think it is also very nice of the president to come up with such an idea where by he may be able to know the views of many, many ordinary people.
The president certainly wants to find a solution for the growing menace of terrorism and therefor he is looking for all kind of suggessions/solutions.
And by the way...The Honourable Dr; A.P.J. Abdul Kalam is not a president but The President of India.

i agree it is good practice ,
we are in new ground ,that leaders want to hear what thier people are thinking is well worth doing ,
we have if anything learned top down commands ,big brother type diciplinarian governance is a mark of the beast of colonialist paternalism ,it might work with an ignorant population of serviles but amoung this new age india ,we need the people voicing thier hopes and fears ,or at least feeling they will be heard

western giovernance long has used the best ideas ,from its people to shape our conjoined future ,the breadth of thought ammoung the elite is somewhat stale ,if we are as a people to progress into better being it is needed to hear at least what we the people are thinking.

i tried to answer but it seems its restricted to indians but that too gives the people a feeling they matter ,it is so easy to forget who is serving who ,leaders asking questions at least implies a report that will be noted.

It is right and correct.

Our President is asking people as additional ideas.
People should know that our President is also a human being and he inviting ideas means show that he has kept all the options open and in case furture opportunities requires these ideas may come as a ready answers to his question.

president of india ts definitely right ih putting up the question to his country men ,as managerment science has taught us if there is any problem which head of the organisation ,many times is not able to solve of his own he puts up that question to a team of people within the organisation to BRAINSTORM on the issue to get the answer.
Management theory says that there is no problem in this universe that do not have a solution .and most of the times we have more than one solution , out which best is selected to solve the problem.

this is because the Honourable president of India wants to know about the ideas of the common public, but the law has its own way treating terrorism
1.punish (or)
2.treat (or)
3.source made them terrorist
just the feelings of a average Indian citizen

Yes i think its rite becos i believe that millions of minds can always think better than one single mind and moreover he is just a president rite ..if he goes ahead and does sumthing rong or does nothing, den he is to b blamed for breach of welfare of millions of people. so its better to ask and den follow "majority wins" principle. Cummon yaar its rite to ask ONLY If its followed, so if he is honest enough to follow our suggestions den its ok to ask.
moreover he has hell lot to think vch he knows he cant and is bold enough to come forward and ask suggetions tht shows he cares and this is democracy not a person rulng us rather being wid us. Also he has been following wot he cud think of doing and resultsare clear and v all know it, so itsbetter to discuss cos wen anything goes rong in a family den the decision maker of the house has all rites to discuss it wid family members. So its gud to do rather than becoming egoistic and harming the family.
