Why are women addicted to designer handbags? I am so addicted as well?

I actually had a great discussion with the salesperson at Nordstrom today about this (as I was dropping $214 on a beautiful purse). She said (and I completely agree) that it's because designer purses pay attention to details. They don't just make a pretty purse..... they make a pretty purse with a beautiful lining, beautifully crafted accent hardware, elegant stitching, comfortable shoulder straps..... and they are gorgeous. I don't know about you, but my old $30 Target purse didn't have all that. Purses are a work of art, and if I'm going to buy a work of art, I'm going to get the real deal straight from the artist.

I was just thinking about this myself. I will look at clearance racks for hours so I can get the best deal on clothes, I use coupons at the grocery store, and reuse tin foil, but I don't even blink at spending $350 on a handbag.
I wear the same three pairs of pants over and over and over, the same three T-shirts over and over, but yet I have to carry a different bag everyday.
So I think instead of being addicted, maybe I'm just a little nuts. But at least I am having fun.

Yeah I'm so addicted to handbags too. I have so many bags, I'm running out of space to keep them all.
Everytime i go out shopping I usually get a bag, the latest style in the season from Chloe or Dior or Hermes. I hate spending money but love spending $900 on a gorgeous bit of arm candy.
If it looks good buy it, If you have the money buy it.

Because good accessories make any outfit look better. I can leave the house in sweats and still feel good carrying around a purse I blew a paycheck on.
