My wife had a miscarrage last month on 15 dec 06, and this month she feels sleepy, she has headache, pain in the stomach ( not very severe) and dowsy...Can she be pregnant again?? or something else.. I told her to have a pregnancy test, but she refused saying that she wont come to know so soon... when do you exactly come to know ( at the sooner)? she doesnt even turn up to the doctor? what to do? Can it be something serious.. as she gets tired too soon... she is working.. we have a baby of 2 yrs. during her time, she had vomiting and other symptoms? but now nothing... can any one give me the brief idea regarding this???

How soon can she be pregnant after the first miscarriage, her problem is that she doesnt get the periods properly...

I am really worried about her!!

Thanks for your help!!

Yes she could be pregnant again...I became pregnant with my daughter just a few weeks after my first miscarriage. And yes she would know now if she was pregnant, after the miscarriage her body started it's cycle over again. A store bought pregnancy test can detect an hcg count of as low as 50. However I'd be more concerned with something else, has she had an ultra sound since the miscarriage to check for anything left over? With her symptoms I'd be at the hospital quick.

I am sorry to hear of the miscarriage. Your wife needs to see her doctor. After a miscarriage a D&C is generally performed to clean the womb of unnecessary leftover tissue, etc. It is possible that some tissue still remains and needs to be removed. Anything foreign in one's body can and will make a person ill.
Also, to find out if there is another pregnancy. Being your wife experienced a miscarriage recently, it would be helpful to both of you to know if she is pregnant again to avoid an potential dangers/risks. Good luck to both of you.

really you guys shouldn't be having se this soon. You should wait 2 months after the miscarriage and wear condoms and don't try until atleast 4 months after. becuz most likely she will miscarry again. she need to find out. she can do a test a week after se misses her period. tell her to do it for hers and the babys health. also if shes wearing tampons she needs t stop untill atleast 3 months after the miscarriage.

it would be rare, but possible, it's been less then a month. if she is no longer having symptoms, they may be side-effects of the miscarriage. you may want to prod her into getting a post-miscarriage follow-up and discuss it with the doctor. she may be anemic if she lost a lot of blood. she does not have to have a pregnancy test (if it would pick it up this early)
i am sorry for your loss.

Sounds like normal grieving, don't talk to her about pregnancy tests yet, its too soon. Love her, support her, tell her its not her fault (its a common feeling) and tell her you're ready to try as soon as she is.

If she's not picked up at all in a month, take her to a doctor.
