A good chunk of society is use to seeing bright colored hair, tattoos, piercing, scarification and even suspension. I can't imagine what the future holds in this sense. I can care less, I am just curious.
Note: I'm aware that the list above has been done throughout history.

Its possible things might be cyclic, a lot of what you mentioned above increases in line with "trends" which come and go. Individuals will probably always look for ways to express oneself, when they don't feel understood otherwise......so unless, a global change to understand each other more occurs, then we will continue to see this kind of expression and even more extreme.............

hopefully most will be much more openminded about everything, and realize that coloring your hair purple does not mean that you are going to burn in hell for all eternity.
