your right....if she replaced you with her bf...then he should cover the rent.....get all your receipts and records together and fight your ex room mate all the way.....

Well the locks were changed and that should prove to the court she did not want you there.
If your name is on the lease you may have a problem with the landlord.
Her boyfriend should step up and pay if he did stay there, but it sounds like he is a free loader.
They both sound like losers.
It may be worth the money just to keep them out of your life.
Good luck

Girl have you lost your mind? U shouldn't even have to ask if you have to pay for rent because she brought her boyfriend in without asking you so she probably didn't care about your feelings or ur thought in the situation. She changed the locks on the door so that mean that you wasn't welcomed there. So why should you pay rent when you not welcomed there!

no you don't have to pay the rent if you did not stay there, that man she brought home should be responsible for the rent that month.make sure you have all of your records in order before you go in to court, and let her you go give a damn about her taking you to court, because you know that you did not do anything out of order.

Is your name on the lease? If so you are kind of SOL. Even if it isn't becaue you left you broke an agreement to pay the rent. I think she will probably win in small claims, I would suggest you pay the money and get it over with.

It unfortunately isn't about what is exactly right but what your legally obligated to. Is your name on the lease? If it is then your obligated no matter what and she can take you to court. If it's not then she will have to prove that you and her had an agreement in regards to the rent.

NO! And try to find a roommate in the future who isn't a pig and wants to bring in a companion pig. People like that make me sick.
