the poor go hungry because they can eat sometimes but not as often or as much as they should. starvation is what happens when you don't eat anything for days on end. it is like comparing developed countries like america to developing countries. here people might be hungry but in other countries people literally die everyday from not eating

Starvation is more serious and it does not only cripple but kills people as well.
