What do you think of Pizza being an Italian food?

Was not Pizza Hut but a chain that operates in several states including Texas. This could have been worth $25 million in free publicity to this company and you went and forgot their name!

As several have pointed out money is money. Then there is the question of conversion rates.

Some point out that pizza is Italian and not steak and potatoes from America. My thought? Will we be taking the Euro next?

It wasn't Pizza Hut, it was a regional pizza chain in the Southwest. I am perfectly fine with the idea. Many Canadian establishments accepted US dollars when I was last there, and I don't see a reason in the world why any store, should it want to, be unable to accept any currency it pleases.

i am not aware of any law that states a business must accept only us currency. perhaps there is. however, if a company chooses to accept any or all currencies what should that matter? it is their business enterprise. if they wish to go through the additional aggravation of performing accurate currency exchange rates to sell their products at the value of the stated dollar ratio, run extra sets of accounting journals and such-let them...i think it will not last long. it is too hindresome and time consuming...remember if something sells for: $1.00usd and a chinese guy comes in with Yuan he must pay 800rmb. now, the government only cares about the proper collection of their cut, the taxes...if the tax is 7% then the cashier needs to collect another 56rmb...how many minimum wage people are going to properly to these calculations? see! if the govt audits a company accepting multiple currencies and they are not collecting the taxation properly, they will be hit with fines and other legal matters. so, i think, they way our economic system runs here in the usa, something like that wont last long...now, when i lived in south korea, most places took the dollar instead of the won. sure, i always got ripped off a bit. but, over there, people did what they wanted.
