Ummm, I am not sure I can speak for the entire race? I can personally tell you that when I was dating I actually preferred woman that were larger. Size 10-18. I think 14 is perfect. Women with curves are the most attractive to me. I was never into the women that were built like boys. Flat chested and no butts. Yuck! I think women with some meat is the best. I think society as a whole ( MTV, Fashion, Media) as told everyone what is beautiful and what is pretty. I think for the most part allot of guys just follow whatever society tells them is sexy. You would be amazed how many guys prefer women with curves. They have websites dedicated to it. I for one ever became single would hang outside Jenny Craig and meet women. Seriously, I would say forget this. Let's go have dinner your perfect! Ironically my wife when I met her was wearing 5 layers and I thought she was 160 or so. It turned out she was 100 and a size 1. The first thing I did was made the poor girl eat and fatten her up. I don't like her under 160. I do not know if you are on the curvy side? Should you be? No worries. There are so many men of all color that would love to be your man. No worries there. Best of luck and I hope that gives you some insight.

I don't think black guys do either. But it's more than a question of "fat," it's self-esteem, confidence, and values. The plain fact is, the majority of Americans are overweight (men and women), and the weight gain shows an underlying psychological concept and tells a lot more than you'd first think about a person. If a person really cares about themself, do they allow themselves to become fat? You don't become fat overnight. Apart from having a major surgery that requires bed rest for a long period of time, or actual disease, "fatness" is in a person's head, and preventable. Fat cells don't disappear; once you've got 'em, you got 'em, and all they can do is shrink. This causes overweight people who lose weight to be even more hungry and regain the weight they lost. There's some crazy statistic that 80% of those who lose a significant amount of weight regain it within the same year. I've seen this at weddings; the bride diets, then plumpens up. So they best thing to do is catch obesity mid-stride, and stop sliding along the downhill slope before it's too late.
...so, people like people who are healthy. Fat is NOT genetics. And you cannot be fat and healthy--proven fact! But if you are fat, don't worry, because there are other fat people who will love you, and even skinny people who will love you. And Jesus always will too. And he will help you get in shape if you really try! :)

I like em as friends.. but sorry.. I would never date one.
It has nothing to do with being shallow and everything to do with getting what you put into a relationship.
I'm not fat.. and that's one thing I offer my lady, so in turn I want someone that can offer me something that that shows that they are can be energetic too.
I don't think that's shallow. It's more of.. I'm not fat, so I want someone that isn't fat too.

Most overweight people dont choose to be that way. So why are you putting down someone that didnt chose to be that way. Being overweight doesnt make you a slob or degrade you unlike those bastars that critisize you. They are the ones that have a problem, because its a shame they cant take the time to see the beauty within a person rathern that whats in the outside.
Hate to break it to you guys but beauty doesnt last forever, but a beautiful personality and soul does.
Likewise I hate it when you are so quick to point your finger at a skinny girl and call her anorexic or bulimic because all you do is judge by looking at the outside. I'm 5'7 and 115lbs and im no anorexic or bulimic, so it frustrates me that you people are so fast to generalize. Get real

because they are insecure..
and because the black race is made mostly of curvacious women, and therefore that is what most black men are into.
this is just in general though.
there is obviously gonna be guy out there that LOVES big women, and a black guy that doesnt find them attractive at all

Because fat people are showing the world they lack control, have no self-esteem and are lazy. They are often slobs and many do not dress appropriately for their size
