O' neal is better than Okafor and isn't much older since he came straight out high school while Emeka was getting his degree. I'd go with Jermain by a long shot. Jermaine' s also got great playoff experience while Emeka may never get there as a Bobcat.

If you're talking short term, I would take Jermaine O'neal because he's just shown through his stats that he is a better scorer and just as good a rebounder as okafor. However, he is prone to injury and it's very common for him to get injured. Okafor is more of a defensive guy than O'neal and is a better shot blocker, and also he's younger and still has more time to improve. If you're talking fantasy hoops, I'd take O'neal because he's really putting up some good stats for my team. It's up to you, if you want a more offensive big man who can still play defense take O'neal. If you want mainly a good shot blocker and defensive big man, take Okafor. It depends on the team's needs.
Here's my ratings on them from a scale of 1-10 according to this year's stats so far

Okafor
Blocking: 9
Scoring: 7
Rebounding: 9
Assists: 2
Free Throw: 5
Total: 32

O'neal
Blocking: 7
Scoring: 8
Rebounding: 8
Assists: 4
Free Throw: 7
Total: 34

Jermaine Oneal is obviously better. JO is putting up 19.2 ppg, 9.2 rpg, and 3 blocks per game. He has been averaging a double double ever since 2003. JO on the plus side has gotten more playoff experience. Okafor is averaging less than JO with 14.2 ppg, and 2.7 blocks. I would say JO is better statistics wise and experience wise. JO has more talent as well.
