I see this in just about every movie I go to. An employee walks along the front sides of the theater and along the front row with their orange stick light during the movie. It's not that annoying but I'm just curious.

It's called a "saftey walk" to assure the movie patrons paths are not blocked and all exits are secure.

To make sure no one is talking or on there cell or sneaking into the theater, make sure no one is taping the movie. That the sound is good and that the picture is good.

To make sure no one is talking or interrupting or using cell phones or recording devices. The should do it every 15 minutes or so.

people might be filming the movie with a camcorder and selling the movies on the street called bootleg movies. or they might be checking to see if someone is doing something else illegal.

oohh my gosh i am not the only one!!!i noticed that also!at the movies that i go to they write on this paper that is on the door!!i have to idea what they are doing!it is not like they can count the people in there.....it is crazy i hope someone really knows!
it cant be that they are checking on the people in there....the people that i have seen doing it never even looks up!!!

I think it's because they're looking out to see if there is "inappropriate conduct" going on. It is their job to patrol and watch out for this so just in case anything does happen, they will kick those people out.
