Power is an emotional word. It means the 'ability to act'.
It is the ability to get things done for you but not against you and care other people in the process.

the ability to get what you want
in the movie Casino, someone says "first comes the money, then comes the power, then comes the pu$$y."
Whether power is good or bad depends on the person wielding, and how they use it. According to a modern Marvel myth, Spider-man's Uncle Ben was said to have said, "With great power comes great responsibility." And although it's "just a kid's book" it does a pretty good job of showing how people with power can use their power to achieve either good or bad ends.
Having power is good, much better than being powerless... but misusing it is definitely not good.

Power refers to one's ability/capacity or one's influence over others. And as they say, it also corrupts. Thus if you wallow too much in it without considering other people's feelings and situations, then it is bad because you take advantage of what you have. Having power could also be good if one uses it for the greater good. Power used responsibly, that's one heck of good thing.

Power is control over others. It's the authority to enforce your will, because you CAN. Not because it's right, or good....just for the sake of doing it. Power is also influence, which is gained by money. Money and power go hand in hand.

Well, I know a guy, and every time I get pulled over by police for whatever reason, I call him and he talks with the police officer that gave me the ticket, and when the guys gets off the phone, the police officer grabs the ticket, rips it up, and tells me to get out of there. That is power.

REAL power is SELF control.
Control over others is not power... it is tyranny.
