Hey i heard cingular is changing to At&T on monday. When i first had At&T, my signal strength was really good. But when it changed to cingular it became worse. Will the reverting change make my service better?

It honestly depends on the type of phone you have. When cingular took over AT&T it did not change service areas ( do not mistake this for customer service) it expanded the areas as most cellphone companies have their own towers or make agreements with smaller companies to use thier towers to avoid roaming. If cingular has added more towers since taking over at&T then when it reverts back to at&T coverage will be the same or better. Some things that can change yourr siganl strength can be the type of phone oyu have such as when GSM first arrived on the market and many people (even in urban areas) found that the signal strength would vary simply by moving across the room. Also what condition your phone is in, if it is old and the antenna has had problems, depending on the phone this almost always interferes with signal.also did you move cities, or across town since you first had at&T that could even have something to do with it.

I don't understand; aren't they the same network? Cingular basically took over AT&T.
