Hi all,

I am wondering if anyone knows of Christian equivalent bands to the following secular music artists:

1. Missy Elliott
2. Pussycat Dolls
3. Gorillaz

I especially like the beat in the songs that these artists play, but I don't like some of their lyrics. I am looking to find some Christian bands who play the same beat but with cleaner lyrics. Any ideas of which ones to choose? :)
Thanks!

Bands like Mogwai, Explosions in the Sky, Pelican, and A Silver Mt. Zion combine that really funky feeling with GREAT, positive CHRISTIAN lyrics. Enjoy!

Most Tenacius D songs are very religiously centered. Specifically Kielbasa Sausage and Double Team.

Oh I'd LOVE to see Pussycat Nuns, for example!! Or Christian cartoon bands that have progressive political ideas - or, for that matter, ANY progressive ideas (isn't intellect banned in Christianity?). Honey, you're talking about beats from poor black areas - Christians don't allow poverty and barely tolerate non-whites, I think you won't find anything. I do think you should try a different approach: find a substitute for Christianity - try, for example, SCIENCE - you seem to have brains, please don't let them be washed by the Bible fundamentalism.
