I agree about the heat. I like your assesment of the clippers. they have been underperforming all season. brand is not playing as well as the last two years, maggette is always hurt, and kaman, who looks like maybe he's starting to find his grove again, has been a real disapointment thus far this season. livingston is on his way and will be the real deal, i think, but he's not there yet. his size for a pg is great, and for a kid straight outta high school he's looking good. better than telfair, i would say...i believe they were both drafted the same year.
anyway, i think cassell may be the missing link. they are obviously not playing nearly as well as most suspected they would and perhaps that is partly due to cassell's presence. i'd be worried about his foot, though. planter fascitis is just about imposible to get rid of during the season. timmyd played with it all last season and he was always having trouble. cassell really needs the off season for that to heal and i think he will miss games in the future because of it.
will they make the playoffs? right now, i don't see them making it. denver will only be stronger when mello comes back (they are currently 8th in the west) and i don't see any of the other top 8 falling out. garnet is on fire in minnesota, huston is doing just fine while yao is out, lakers doing fine with odom out...utah, sa, phx, and dallas are all in...so

Miami YEs! Wade playing like superstar now and Shaq coming back in some days also Miami is seed number8 because Milwauke has no Redd.La Clippers maybe will go to the playoffs if Cassel stays healthy and Brand plays good, also if maggete doesn't complain too much JUST PLAY!
Go HEat

The Clippers- no they are doing better but not that good and if they do I don't think they will get that far, I think they will need more than Sam Cassell, the closer it gets to the playoff the teams are going to get more serious
The Heats- most definitely

The Heat will Shaq or no Shaq because the East sucks. They'll probably be the 3rd seed. I don't think the Clippers will get in. They've fallen behind and the West is a little too strong for them unless they make a good run from now until the end of the season. They'll probably finish 9th or 10th.

the east is weak and the heat is pretty strong.
i think with all their players back they would be able to be dominate. maybe get the 5th place.
the clippers though might but not definitely. if you look at the standings there is denver at 8th(which can only get better when melo is back), Minny at 7, Houston at 6 and Lakers at 5.
SA, Dallas and Phoniex are going to make it for sure. Utah is too cause of weak division. So clippers have to be really strong.
also Golden State, Kings and NO can get into the playoffs so yeah... its might be a challenge
the team is good though. just underachieving this season

WOW
both of my favorite teams!!!
i say yes for LAC and maybe for MIA
your facts are very true but the heat have to find out a way to pick up some wins right now while they aren't playing difficult teams
LAC is going to pick it up
i belive both the lakers and suns will fall out in late feb while the clippers play a lot of home games against some pretty bad teams
