Don't know about that. I do believe today's liberals are "useful idiots," in that by running around on their high horse and trying to tear down a president, they are providing aid and comfort to those who hate America.

Oh for cripes sake! You are so full of BS! I am a raging liberal, but I want our troops home; I love our boys and girls.
We live in a country where there is SUPPOSED to be discussion and disagreement. You friggin' ultra-conservative nuts would like to have a country where everyone thought alike, where no one questioned the government, where the status quo was glorified. What does that sound like?
You make me so angry with stupid questions like this, I can't even see straight to type!
"Aid and comfort" to the enemies??? What if some of our own people are the "enemies"??? You wouldn't even have the balls to try to find out.,
At least I will ask the difficult questions: Is America right or wrong on this issue? Is the President doing the right thing? Is there an ulterior motive?
You would just follow blindly behind anything or anybody who called themselves a conservative.

Actually, Hermann Goering wrote something about this once and I think it went something like this........
Build up an enemy as a threat to your people, and call the peace sayers cowards, blah blah blah......
I don't have it in front of me, but its exactly what the Republicans did.
Germans didn't demoralize German ideals. They were pretty united in their national pride. Are you saying the liberals aim was to destroy by all and any means ? The Germans knocked down their troops morale ? They gave comfort to their enemy ? Hitler was a Catholic, who put his country and people above the church. Deutchland uber alles . Everything you said about the Germans stinks of George Bushes presidency, except the put your country and citizens above the church, which is a liberal trait, and a good one.
Go back to your JR high on tuesday and get a library card. You need it.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PS great discussion on this page. I love you all.

Your not that educated about the truth. Bush belongs to a secret society The Scull and Bones they have a scull logo much like the ones Hitlers boys wore. If you follow the money you will know the true enemy. (hint it is offshore)
This is above the divisions that is a ploy to keep the eye off the ball. NWO. Who owns the media? Look it up for F___ sake who owns what? They own the media and America.

No, Veda do you think we should shut up even if we think the war is wrong ? We have free speech in this country and soldiers by the hundreds of thousands in US have died for that right, I served in "Nam, that war last 15+ yrs for the US, before us the French were there & lost. We were never close to winning tho the US government constantly said just a matter of time before we win and they keep sending more and more troops. Iraq is Vietnam all over again. Joey you are beautiful.

No you really should do your history research and you will find that the only form of government that comes close to mirror tactics such as those of Nazi Germany is the Bush administration, you use the old fear and smear to control the populace, you take away freedom of speech, make anyone that disagrees with your policies a traitor to the cause ect, compare Nazi to Bush administration and you could almost have another Hitler

"Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger."
-- Herman Goering at the Nuremberg trials
I'm assuming you know who Goering was.

The same exact argument can be made against the christian right, and I'd say it can be made more effectively.
The Pournelle chart, a widely accepted model of the so called "political spectrum", clearly shows a greater level of correlation between characteristics of the modern conservative movement and athoritarian leaders like Hitler and facist governments.
Think about it - such strong nationalism, blindly following one leader, calling anyone who questions him a traitor... sounds like the right wing to me.

One of the cores of conservatism is to stand by the father figure or protector and attack any evidence that might expose guilt.
