i would have to say, you could go outside play all day long and into the evening without having to be afraid of being abducted by some pervert. all the kids in the neighborhood would ride bikes, go to the parks, walk to the stores, play hide n seek at night, sit in each other yards and tell scary stories, now a days kids do not really play outside any more, it is more wrapped up in computers,PlayStation's, t.v. staying in the back yards and being constantly watched by parents.

Getting the tar whaled out of me for acting up in public by my mom. You sure don't see kids getting the punishment they need these days!
How about 52 cents a gallon for gasoline? We could cruise all weekend on less than $8.00.

Cruising every Friday and Saturday. The cops don't allow it anymore where we live because of the crime. It has been over 15 years since then, and I am glad I got the chance to experience it.

I remember when ATARI first came out and we were as obsessed with beating Space Invaders (beep, boop, beep, boop) as my child is with W.O.W. or HALO!
My brothers, sisters, and I would battle for that high score! What a freaking hoot!
p.s. - I was the Queen of (ATARI's) Breakout!

We used to ride our bicycles just about wherever we wanted, even after dark: our main worries were visibility, not kidnapping and abduction.
