there si no limitation on the length of a novel. however u should have a substantial amount uf written stuf which is not a usual essay or a short story.
better write quality than quantity

Well, a novel can be any size. Some novels are only a little over a hundred pages, like the Awakening, and then others are over a thousand pages, like Les Miserables.

one that starts at the beginning and goes all the way to the end ,often describing several generations ,and the can be a thousand pages long ,many are a lot shorter of course

novel: more than 40000 words.
novella: 17500-40000
novelette: 7500-17500
short story: less than 7500 words
