every time i'm on the pc it shuts down the pages brings them back up then freezes and then shuts them down again

Scan the PC with standard antivirus software. If you do not have one, I can give a few links that offer free virus and spy ware removers...!You may be having a virus or spyware installed on your PC. Norton, AVG , Avast are free antivirus software. Ad-aware, Ewido are free spyware removers. You can download free softwares at

Also, I can give you a link that deals with hard drive problems.Some RAM/ hard drive problems can be easily fixed yourself by using easily available tools. I found the info at http://fixit.in useful

Yes. instal antiviru scan. it is free for 3 months, and then it only cost like 30 dollars. and every time you get a virus your comp. will beep and that tells you that it has just killed the virus. you might also try to cleen out yor cookies.

It's advisable to run antivirus but it's more probably your OS needs repair. If you are using Win XP try running the Win XP recovery disc. If that fails you may have to full install Win XP.
