When it comes to the game of cricket, Australia is light years ahead of any other nation. Not only by the way they play the game but also the way they think cricket. The brain trust behind the team is awesome and I can assure you that they have planned for the day when the senior player start to retire.
So to answer your question, Yes Australia will still be the number one team without the like of Warne, Langer etc.

Simply No. Without Mcgrath, Warne I think In test cricket they will be coming as a ordinary team. Every opposition won't b so affraid as if there is not McGrath/Warne. After the WC, Hayden(age 36), Gilchrist(age-36) probably retiring(Although it would b a joke watching the 1st 20-20 and 1st 1 dayer vs Eng, it seems like Gilchrist in his best form, anyway, age will deny) , Ponting also not for much day(ICC Test Ranking-1, age 33). Lee also becoming aged(30), it is really difficult to continue as his first weapon is speed. So it is not easy holding the 1st spot in both test and one dayer for the Aussies. New players like Hussey, Stuart & Michael Clark, Bracken playing well, but i think they can't be the replacement of Adam,Hayden.Martyn,Ponting,Mcgrath, Warne. Ok let us see, what happens next.

Great bowlers like Mcgrath and Shane warne retiring from the team will definitely weaken the Australian team.
