practice by singing along with dimmu. they are a tite band. love em. but also try to do more of the traditional black metal stuff too, not just the newer stuff like dimmu and cradle. try to get the old stuff in as well. singing that will help with the newer age black metal. also don't drink jack and smoke to sing better. its a lie. doing that will not make you able to growl like glen benton (ya ya i know he's death metal, but stick with me). if you want your voice to be in the best condition drink room temperature water before you sing. as far as practicing, i dont have any good little tips except for practice over and over again. try not to blow your vocal chords tho. sing from the bottom of your throat. if you listen to goregrind then you'll know what i'm talking about. its an inverted growl. that means you suck in when you growl, that isn't really what you want to learn, but it'll help with it. you'll get more of a feeling for it. also, try to get a vocal coach or someone who knows how it should sound to critic you.
hope it works out for you.

You can practice, but it would take quite a while.
If you were to, say, find the services of a certain vocal trainer specializing in that, then you'd be set. There are likely techniques that can help train your voice without wearing it out.
Either way, drink a LOT of water, get a healthy amount of sleep each night, and train each day.

it sounds extraordinary yet once you're growling , attempt and shop it at a low growl and relentless , proceed training until your throat gets use to it . Drink a great number of water not purely earlier and after , yet in this exercising. Your Vocal chords no remember what would be uncooked until you could sustain the exercising long sufficient so as which you purely get use to it . same is going for any octave rather , yet dying tones take the harshest toll . wish I helped .

Hang around a lot of black metal people and you will start to pick up on their accent. Kind of like if you lived in England for a while, you start to sound like James Bond or Spinal Tap.

Just practice growling. My boyfriend does it all the time. It is kinda annoying, but he is getting it down pretty good.
