Actually lumbosacral x-rays usually are not standing unless specifically requested by the ordering physician. Depending on protocol, there could be one on your back and 2 laying on your left side; there could also be 2 "obliques" - halfway between laying on your back and laying all the way on each side...
If you are male, you should be able to be shielded unless the technologist feels there is a chance it will get in the way of the area of interest. It is easier to shield a male for that type of x-ray than a female because of the location of reproductive organs.
Hopefully that made sense!

A lumbosacral xray is a series of xrays of your lumbar spine and sacrum. Most of the time these images are performed laying down unless your doctor specifically asked for standing views. Depending on where you get xrayed, this series could be anywhere from 3 to 6 images. These images do not include your hip. Your genitals can be shielded for most of these xrays. Just be sure to ask to be sheilded with a lead apron, because sometimes, the technologists forget to shield patients.
Good luck and don't worry about it so much. You will be fine.

A lumbosacral xray includes the lumbar vertebrae and the sacral, which are fused. It is basically an xray from your waist to your hips. It is taken while standing and they take 2 views, one with you facing the place where the radiation comes from and on the other one you have to turn to the side (kind of what they do when they take mugshots at the police station but instead of your face its your waist down to your hips). You can wear your clothes while it is taken if you don't have any metal piece around (zipper, buttons, piercings, etc...). If you do, then you'll have to take your pants off and any piercing, but you will keep your underwear on.

Lumbrosacral Xray? It is an Xray of the lower spine (the lumbar spine and the sacrum).
It's a regular Xray, can be done lying or standing.
No genitals are not covered for LS spine Xrays as that would also cover some of the spine. Don't worry, it's only a little bit of radiation that will have no effect.

It is a standing xray.
In some cases they will have you bend certain ways for the image.
They will have you wear a lead "fig leaf" to protect your nads.
It's lumbosacral as in lumbar and sacrum.
