Why do you want your friend to shut up? Is it because you never get to talk yourself? If so, then just tell her you want time to talk because friends should both beable to share things. If it's just that her talking annoys you then you must not have all that much in common because if you did then you wouldnt want her to stop talking or; "shut up" so maybe your not meant to be really good friends.
It can be really hard to tell a friend something that you want to change because you wouldnt want to hurt her feelings but I'm sure she will understand.

I talk tons! what gets me to shutup though? food. I've noticed my friend is always feeding me. Smart bastard. The best food? Oreo cookies. She won't want to talk with those in her mouth because Oreos make your teeth look black. The cookie gets all over your lips. Yeah. Feed her Oreos.

Walk away! If it's personal stuff,tell her something,tell her not to tel anyone,when it comes back to ou give her hell! then do the same thing! Sooner or later she will learn to keep her mouth shut!!!!!!!

just tell her to shut up...
that's what my friends and i do when one of us is too talkative and annoying....
this never cause problem in our friendship cause we're all real friends...
your friend should understand you if you tell to shut up...

i have a friend like that too, but im not mean enough to say anything so i just pretend to listen to her alot of times. you dont always have to listen!
