...but she was not....very colorful pics....the kicker was that in the middle of the book u had 2 turn it upside and read the story right to left....been looking for the title and author for 2 YEARS!!!!!! please think b4 sending answers....rememeber i have been searching 4 years!!!!!! it is driving me mad people!!!!!!

For some reason the "Wendy The Witch" book comes to mind. I did some checking on Amazon.com and see that there are a number of books with that character. Perhaps by going through the choices you might see the one you want. That page is at the below link. Good luck!

There's a 1953 book that matches that description. It is "The Little Witch," written by Anna Elizabeth Bennet. A young witch named Minikin (but called Minx), raised by her evil aunt, wishes that she were like other girls. It's a good read, whether or not it's the one you're looking for.
