My brother-in-law works for UPS. He's worked at two 'hubs' - distribution centers. In regards to his pay and benefits, the job is excellent. UPS has Union workers which normally translates into better pay and benefits anyways. There are investment opportunities as well. It takes a while to secure a permanent/regular position and they're at the mercy of seniority.

All that said, he doesn't not like the management at his current hub. Given all the pros for being employed by UPS, he puts up with it.

That depends on your skill set. If your a qualified brain surgeon, probably not. But for professional drivers it's a great paying job. Good pay and good benefits. My brother has been there for 18 yrs and will retire at 55 making as much as he did working. But UPS works you hard...get ready

From what I hear, they have an amazing benefits package and take care of their employees really really well, so I would say Yes, go for it.
