Im just wondering if anyone knows where to get the insides for the habitat all of the local petcos (LA, CA area) use for their red ear sliders, its made of plastic, floats, and is about the size of the aquarium. it looks like drift wood Im just wondering because I have 3 baby turtles that are rapidly out growing their 15 gallon tank and I dont think they are ready to go outside to the pond yet

As stated above they cost ALOT. I know you can look at places like:

herpcages.com
cagebydesign.com
customcages.com

There are many other websites that make these display cages but they cost a pretty penny.

If you wanted you can also look into TURTLE TUBS. They dont look as cool but they wrok great. I have my painted turtles in them any they love it.

I hope this helps... if you have any other questions feel free to e-mail me at socalherpers@yahoo.com

I always wanted one too, but I bet it's expensive, and if you're eventually going to go to a pond, why buy it? I currently use a 75 gallon and the ZooMed size large turtle docks do great with mine, and I have 4! But good idea about asking Petco. Pet stores have special catalogs with all their display habitats.

They are made by marineland which makes all all of petco's display tanks and are designed as a commercial only display, cost about $2500. You can easily do something that works just as well with a nice size breeder tank.

i ought to assert the basking rock or platform, warmth lamp, and tank hotter (and foodstuff ofcourse) are the most important. All turtles want to go out of the water and in simple terms indulge in mild. make confident your warmth lamp provides uvb (or something like that) mild because they want it so their shells stay healthy. make confident the lamp isnt too on the fringe of the turtle contained in the tank. The clear out isnt necesary yet you should want to purchase those mineral pill issues that you'll put in the water, because it may help save the water sparkling and their shell healthy. The tank hotter doesnt could be less than the tank? it could be on the facet. something that makes the water temperature room temp. is okay. The foodstuff, you should continuously get the floating sticks, yet you should target giving a extra type at times. operating example you should provide him tiny products of pink meat once per week. Small feeder fish are also good. ( very last time i checked they were 10 cents each and each?) As for the tank, i imagine 20 gallons + should be ok on your turtle. 20 ought to not be proper, yet its not cramped or something. So the most important: mild, basking, heater, foodstuff. you'll get the tank at the same time as he/she grows higher. good success :)

I would ask Petco where they got theirs, or go to Petco and write a list of all needed to copy theirs.
