yeah but the US team has AI, Arenas, Wade at point guard who all blow nash away
at shooting guard: Kobe, McGrady, Pierce, and Ray Ray are all better shooting guards than manu who shouldn't even by on an all star team
at small forward you have: LeBron, Marion, Anthony
power forward there is Garnett, Bosh, JO
and at center you can go with Howard, Duncan, Amare, and Shaq
the US team is hella deep with better players at every position and chemistry doesn't come into play at all in the loose atmosphere of all star games where everyone seems to get along for 1 night and they try whatever crazy move they've always wanted to try
the US team has much better guards and a deeper more powerful inside game
you named 10 guys who won't even make the all star game as deep reserves for this international team

i'd be comfortable with this on condition that they do it each 4 years, likely the year of the Olympics. The NHL tried it with N. us of a VS the international, and now that's back to widespread, so per chance the NBA could do some thing like that. yet imagine about it. If the folk won't be able to conquer Greece, what makes you imagine they're going to conquer some thing else of the international?

I would be okay with this only if they do it every 4 years, probably the year of the Olympics. The NHL tried it with N. America VS the World, and now it is back to normal, so maybe the NBA could do something like that. But think about it. If the Americans cannot beat Greece, what makes you think they will beat the rest of the world?

Would there be any US players left to play the game, if you think about it, you have all the Canadians, Puerto Ricans, Mexicans, Spanish, Asians, Chineese, Africans, Argentenians, etc...... on one team and a bunch of Crackers on the other team, who would want to watch that game. I beleive they have it split right down the middle now the way it is, the West will still run on the East either way.

USA would get hammered. OUr game sucks today. Our guys would be too busy trying to hog the ball for a highlight dunk.
Its still a team sport and our guys dont know what team means today.
Just look at our last olympic showing. 3-2 and a bronze against inferior players.
Our days of dream teams are done.

I think not, but I agree there's supposedly US vs The World game. Not on the All Star Weekend, though. Probably in the offseason.

I think it would work that way, but I just think it should stay the way it is. Its about the east vs the west, its kinda like bragging rights yanno?? you have a good point and i definitely think that it would be a good game talent wise etc, but...Idk I just like the east vs west set up

As formidable as that team looks the game would be over by mid second quarter.
