The 1800's would of been pretty hard work, not that I mind working hard, but it sure would of been more peaceful.

Looking back on history, it seems everyone was so innocent in the sense that women were respected more and men were such gentlemen. I would have loved to live in the 1800's and be treated like a lady (not that my present partner does not treat me like a lady) but men in general in the present 21st century, lack the courtesy and gentleness that women desire. Alot of women also lack the respect that men deserve.......so i would love to have lived in the 1800's, but i would also love to take back with me the luxury of modern day communication and transportation.

there are pros and cons to both era's. The 1800's we're a much simpler time, there wasn't any fuss over international terrorism, however in the present day, there is better technology, and greater medical advances. So it boils down to, live simple and pleasant, but no technology or medicine. Or live now with everything at your fingertips and have everyone hating everyone else

Interesting question! I would like to of lived in the 1800's but only if I was in England/Europe and was of "higher standing in society" It would of sucked being the working class!! Imagine all the beautiful clothes, going to balls having "gentlemen" fawn over you. Would of been a very interesting time to live in.

Definitely the present because I like indoor plumbing, electricity, and having a life expectancy of more than 45 years.

Back then in the south they used to kill catholics and black people and they had not invented Zoloft or epidurals yet. Or punk rock!! I couldn't have voted.

Even if I never became catholic or befriended a black person, I still would not have lasted very long
back then.

Just like if I ever moved to Iran I would get my head chopped off the very first day. (I'm not a ho, I just get kind of psychotic when I am not allowed to think for myself)

The present. I couldn't live with all the religion and lack of technology.

1800's, I used to haul Iron fast like Thell Reed, but I probably would have died from a cold, or something simple.
