I don't think it is dangerous, but be prepared for tummy upsets and possibly more spit-ups as the baby adjusts. You may want to consult your pediatrician for the best way to go about it.

It is not dangerous, they say you need to consult your pediatrician on this and really you should but there was a time when parents had to figure it out on their on. My brother went through several types but he did not do well on formula and had to have butter milk, now no one would think twice about doing that but he had some kind of belly problem. So the answer is no it want harm them. You do need to talk to the doc about it though.

All baby formulas are regulted by governmant standards so they all have the proper nutrients, etc. It is safe to change from one brand to another as long as it is the same type of formula.

If you have a child with allergies, then you need to ask your doctor before changing. For example you wouldn't want to change a non-dairy formula for a dairy based one.

We had to change my son to a low iron formula because the iron fortified one gave him gas and constipation and make him fussy. he improved immediatly. It was against by doctor's advice, but he wasn;t the one up with a crying, fussy, constipated baby all night! And it did not affect his health at all. Some babies need iron, some don't.

You wouoldn't want to change frequently. Find a formula that makes him happy and stick with it.

No it's not dangerous, but the best thing to do is shop around and research some information about a certain formula you are interested in switching your baby too.

Ask your Doctor if you are concerned, that's what they are there for right? :)

if you have to change formula the bet way to do it is by buying anew can and slowly mixing the two together so that eventually the baby is getting less of the old and more of the new, it will help there tummies adjust to the change.

Its not dangerous, but it can seriously affect their stomach depending on the baby. You definitely want to talk to your baby's pediatrician as to what you are considering changing to and why. He or she can advise you as to whether its the best choice and what's the best way to do it.

Not if your baby doesn't have specific health needs. I changed my daughters formula a couple of times and it didn't hurt her at all.

Not for most people. I changed formula with both my girls to whatever was on sale. They are all FDA regulated and pretty much all the same (regular formula). Mine would have similac, enfamil and carnation.
