If you are a mani fan, then the movie will linger with you even after you come out like all his earlier ones. Though we all know that its based on the life of a certain gentleman "Dhirajlal Hirachand", mani ratnam has managed to not make it look like a biopic. And one thing that you will find constant in all his movies is cinematography...here rajeev menon is at his best...his camera talks...man
but if you are a die hard mani ratnam fan...you wil come out and maybe tell yourself....that ur thirst might have been quenched but ur hunger wasnt...

The beautiful photography of India, superb acting, and realistically told modern historical story make Guru a good choice as an eye-opener for someone who doesn't know Bollywood so well. And though the music is extraordinary, there is also somewhat less of it than sometimes..

almost all mani ratnam movie are great. The best being roza, yuva, and guru. abisheak's acting is really good but aishwarya sucks

everything is there in rhe movie like emotions, love, drama, dance etc
