How do i use cut in pokeman yellow version?

ok im playing pokeman yellow version on game boy color and beat misty.im still in the town mistys gym is in and i got cut but cant find it or kno how to use it...........please help without it i cant go no where brush is blocking the way

cut is NOT in the city with misty's gym - you weren't paying attention.

after you get the badge from misty, you are ALLOWED to use HM Cut outside of battle

HM Cut is on a cruise ship, given to you by the captain of that boat

after you beat misty's gym, go into the house where there was a robbery (upper right side of town) and there's a hole in the back wall - you can go through there, around, and south (down) til you get to the next town

when you do actually get cut, it works just like any TM that you may have already gotten, except that after you use it, it's still there.

then, to use cut, walk up to a tiny tree (that's all that cut can cut) and push start, go to 'pokemon' - pick the pokemon that knows cut, and CUT will be one of the options available

whenever you get an HM, even though you're allowed to use it in fights, the reason you can't use it outside of battle is so that you don't go to places you're not supposed to yet. as a result, any move that lets you get to these places can't be used til you beat certain gyms

go to ur items. get the hm cut. click it. teach it to somepokemon. click the tree. theyll ask u "cut it down?" or something. say "yes" and theyll sho ur pokemon and do its "sound" they'll make shhhhhhhhhh! noise and u'll find the tree gone. =D
