I'd never buy one; they are so expensive. ($599-$649)

Actually, the price is $499 for the 4GB model and $599 for the 8GB model. The price isn't as high as most think. Take a typical smart phone at around $299 or so...then add on the price of your iPod...and it isn't so high. Many smart phone models such as the Nokia N Series are $700 or more. Will the typical teen that buys an iPod nano and gets a free phone with there cell service buy one? Probably not. Will adults that have iPods and use smart phones snap 'em up? Most likely.

Do I think it'll be a success? Yes! Will I buy one? Yup!

Possibly. The love affair that America ( and the world for that matter) has with technology, esp. cell phones and mp3 players is not about to die down. But it has been pointed out that a great deal of cell phones already able to store music. Personally I own an ipod, and a cell phone, and don't see the marriage of the two anytime soon. If i were to purchase one, I would wait about a year until the price came down.

I find it interesting that Sysco sued them for copyright infringement. Apple sues at the drop of a hat...gave them a taste of their own medicine.

( Granted they probably made enough money in the last 30 secs. to account for any and all legal matters!)

I hate my phone and avoid any contact with it.

Why would I want to poison my love of music by integrating such a great thing with a detestable and unreliable cellular network.

Screw Cingular. Long live my iPod mini.

I wouldn't buy one. They're expensive and unnecessary.
