you are wishing for two different lives. you like the advantages you have because of your father. and maybe you don't see them. however, you can't live both worlds. there are a million who would trade with you; and you only have a problem with it because you have tasted that life. it is hard and don't get me wrong, but the things you will learn, even the hard ones, will make you who you are as you age. if there are things that you hate because your dad is who he is, try to think of the ones who's fathers pick up trash or rake yards just to feed and clothe them. it's not so bad to be looked at for your father when you are growing up. there will come a time when his values and who he is will guide you in making decisions. remember this above all. if you have a father who treats you well, you already know the best man in the world that you will ever meet. trust me. my father is the smartest man I have ever met, and yet he focused his talent on cars, not for himself, but so that I would be assured of the same opertunities, those that matter, as the children my age whose fathers were actors or doctors. he did what he did for me, and I can bet if you stop the judgements for a minute and sit back and look, you will see that your father has done the same for you. don't resent the life he has provided for you, be proud. and pity those who see him for being famous and an actor, because they will never know the man behind the shell they have built and put his name on it.

If you are for real then I would tell very few people about it until you have established a friendship based on other things. If it is too late for that, like your school know or something, I would take care of the friends that have been there for you for ages and treat them normally by not comparing them to you. They will repay the favor if they realise that you are just like everybody else inside. As far as making friends, pick people who you have things in common with and build a friendship. Chances are that they will be fascinated by how you might live but that will soon wear off and you'll be the same. And for others who don't know you but say stuff about you or to you; ignore them, don't worry about it. Those that matter don't mind and those that mind don't matter.

Don't hide the fact that your dad is an actor, but don't flaunt it either; just act normal and don't brag about your designer clothes, fancy car, great house, whatever. Be real with everyone and don't get caught up in the trappings of wealth.

Easy. The next time you meet someone don't tell them that you're rich and Dad's an actor.
Act 'normal' not like you're the prettiest and most popular clown in the tree!
"We're all bozos on this bus". Ask him what that means.

I wouldn't make your conversation starters by telling people what what your family does for a living. Instead let people get to know all about you first.....then as you make some trust worthy friends let them find out on their own who your dad is. Never talk about money or tell people that your "kinda rich". It only sounds snobby and will make people react to you differently.

Hang out with people who are in the same situation as you. If you hang around non rich people, you'll probably get about 80% of them either kissing your butt because they want something from you or they'll treat you like you're stuck up even if you aren't.

Don't make statements like "I'm kinda rich since my dad is an actor.." No one cares and it make you a bit snobby.
