First of all, it's spelled "temperature."

Second, the expression "room temperature" does not mean any specific temperature, but usually means a substance is not being artificially heated or cooled, but just being allowed to settle at the ambient temperature.

The "standard" temperature at which most practical measurements are made is 20 degrees celsius, which is 69 degrees fahrenheit. Think of the timing of photographic chemicals or the standard statement of the speed of sound.

But room temperature can be any temperature, hot or cold.
