It's easy to say in hindsight that you would have absolutely gone for it. The books certainly had a huge market cornered but it would have depended what I, personally, was looking for at the time. I saw the woman on Oprah who finally kept shoving it under her boss's nose. I don't think she barely got any recognition, did she?

No way, I would never turn down the rights to a book like that. But all the rights go to the writer, not the publishers.

Hell no! The stories are freaking awesome! I know that some were scarred that it might offend the church and be seen as we "evil", but I'm Catholic and would still not turn down a story that I never want to end!
