I have the worst cramps.
I have eaten a couple of bananas, taken Pamprin (which normally is a wonder drug), had a bath and napped all day.
My back hurts, my legs hurt, and I am still tired.
Any other thought what I can do?
What is your remedy for PMS?
Please Help
:(
Thank you

I hate Midol
it does not work
(and it contains caffeine which you are supposed to avoid!)

I find Pamprin to be the best too.
exercise
lots of water
eating healthy (avoid salt)
massages
heating pads
hot bath
sleep
It sounds like you are doing most of the things right sometimes they are just bad. :(
Hope you feel better.

Something else you can do to prevent PMS (for your next periods) is cut down on salt for a few days before your period is supposed to start. That will help prevent a lot of bloating. Also, drink and eat extra calcium foods before your period, and during it if you can tolerate them. That will help prevent those cramps.
Start taking Advil or Pamprin the minute your period starts. Don't wait until the cramps get unbearable; the medication will help prevent the cramps from getting out of hand. Take it regularly for the first couple days, then as needed.

Basically, heat helps. You can buy heat pads [[the kind that you stick on]], but a couple inexpensive alternatives are: a water bottle filled with hot [[or warm, if you have sensitive skin]] water, or a dry washcloth heated in the microwave. Put this on your abdomen. It's a miracle!
I also find that Midol helps me more than Pamprin. =]

try the heating pads..those should work for your cramps. also try getting some vitamin B12 into your system before your next cycle that should help with the cramps.

Exercise helps, believe it or not, take a walk....you'll feel great. Exercise releases endorphins...the "make you feel good" hormone :)
