If I had a 4.3 average, what should I score on my SATs to get into those colleges? Or what scores on my PSAT to get a good scholarship?

Harvard, Princeton: 2200+SAT
UCLA: 2000+SAT instate, or 2100+SAT out of state

(There are no 'official numbers' or cutoffs where you will certainly get in, but those are scores where I would feel comfortable telling you that if the rest of your application is equally strong, you should have a good chance of getting into those schools.)

Also, please take what Rozinante said below with a grain of salt. There is no such thing as a merit scholarship at any Ivy League school; merit scholarships of all forms, including athletic scholarships, are prohibited per the terms of the Ivy Charter.

I had a 4.3 average in high school as well. I had perfect scores on SATs and got into UCLA and Princeton as well as some other top schools, but I still get rejected from Harvard (I think it was the interview). A 2100 should be more than enough for UCLA, I think a 2000 should be fine so long as you have extracurriculars. For Harvard and Princeton, if you are white or Asian you'll need to load up on the extracurriculars and competitions; any score above 2100 will honestly do. If you are of an underrepresented minority it will be significantly easier for Princeton and Harvard. A score of 2100 on the PSAT should roughly qualify you for scholarship consideration; whether you actually get it will depend on your SAT score. Good luck!

For your PSAT it depends on what state you live in, but nationally a 225 is good. On your SAT you really need high scores for Harvard and Princeton. Make sure to focus on other stuff too while working on the SAT score. A 2250 is a good place for the Ivy's. But even a full score won't guarantee admission. For UCLA a 2100.

Don't forget to be a wellrounded person. Do extracurricular activities and community service work too. Ivy Leagues really look at that!
